When I enter a formula into my excel sheet the answer comes out as zero. Example: = A2+B2 comes out as blank even though they have values.

Unfortunately the screen shot reveals nothing useful.
Please provide another but with the Formula Bar included & the problem cell selected.

You probably have strings that include $ and spaces like "$ 360.75" Try using find and replace on the columns, replacing $ with nothing and space with nothing. Then your formulas should work.
