Hi there,
I can't seem to access Teams video recordings.
I was the recording owner and they have been available for several weeks and now I'm receiving an error message (see attached).
I can see the recordings in my Chat to open or get link, but both options send me to the error message.
Underneath the recording it says it is 'about to expire' but when I select the link to 'view or change' it takes me to the same error message.
Failing on both Mac, Windows; and multiple people getting the same error message.
Help!

Dear Mary-Ellen,
Thanks for writing back to us.
It seems the error message is generic for all the users including the owner of the meeting and since you mentioned there is 1 recording in the recycle bin, please restore it immediately and the restored recording will not be expired anymore.
If other recordings aren't present in the first stage of recycle bin, please check them in the second stage of recycle bin (scroll down and click on Second Stage of Recycle bin) because the files in the first stage will only stay there for 30 days and the rest 63 days it will be a second stage before its deleted permanently.
If the recording isn't present in both stages of recycle bin, then I am sorry that the recordings are deleted permanently.
Hope it clears the details and thanks for your patience.
Have a good day!!
Best Regards,
Sophia
Thanks Sophia,
Here is the error message (sorry hadn't realised it didn't upload earlier).
I looked in the recycle bin and could only see one recording, and none of the others.
Even weirder as I was the meeting host and I can only see the recording in my Teams Chat (the co-host can't view them at all), but the message mentions 'contact the person who shared it with you'.
Thanks, Mary-Ellen
Dear Mary,
Good day!!
I understand you and many users are not able to access the teams meeting recordings and I am sorry to convey that the error message you tried to attach to the post is not uploaded successfully.
So, I would like to confirm whether you receiving the following error message "Sorry, something went wrong. Sorry, you cannot access this document."
If yes, I would like to let you know that the possible reason is the recorded meeting is expired, the recording will be moved to recycle bin automatically and stay there for the next 90 days before it's deleted permanently. Since you are the owner, please go to OneDrive to restore the videos from the Recycle bin and once the recording is restored, the expiration will be set to no expiration automatically.
If not, can you please share the screenshot of the error message encountered for better understanding and to guide you further?
Sorry for the inconvenience caused and thanks for your patience.
Best Regards,
Sophia
