Hello

I am using Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen and i have installed microsoft office professional 2021. but when using word or excel and wanting embed object, it is not possible I am receiving an error message"cannot insert object" and it takes a long time to have that error when already clicked on ok for inserting the object.

I have changed the microsoft office from Office 2016 to office 2021 and the issue remains there. My concern is that this issue is with my lenovo not to my old Hp laptop.

Anyone knows how to fix this with lenovo laptop model?

    Dear RonaldRodrigue Iranyibutse Ju,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per the error message and since you mentioned the "issue is with my Lenovo not my old Hp laptop.", please try to perform Online Repair and check the result. So, please perform Online Repair by following the steps in this article: Repair an Office application

If the problem persists, make sure that your laptop has all the latest updates installed, including any updates to Microsoft Office. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. For Office apps, go to Word app> Account> Update Options> Update Now.

If still the problem persists, I would like to suggest you to uninstall the Office apps completely using the Uninstall tool and re-install the Office apps. Reference: Uninstall Office apps (Option 2)

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,
