OneNote cannot sync - error code 0xE0001460 bdf5g

My OneNote cannot sync. There is no explanation, only this:

"OneNote is experiencing an error. Sync will resume later. You don't need to take any action. (Error code: 0xE0001460 bdf5g)"

But it never syncs. What is the problem, and what can I do about it?

I'm on a Windows PC and my ambition is to be able to access OneNote from my iPhone.

    Have you tried the following?

    You can try to manually sync by pulling down on the notebook list to refresh on your iPhone.

    Have you tried signing out and signing back into your Microsoft account within the OneNote app to refresh the connection?

    You use the most recent version of the OneNote application? Have you attempted updating it, if not, to see if that fixes the syncing issue?

    You can also try to restart your device.
