Sharepoint keychain popup

Question

I am continually seeing a very annoying popup message that says "Microsoft SharePoint wants to use your confidential information stored in "username" in your keychain. I have a Mac. I have already looked at various websites like https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/how-to-stop-microsoft-sharepoint-pop-up/b6328648-5820-4072-9a51-560f1bdb1c4d but if you look at that all the way down, they achieved nothing for that person.

As per your description, I think it something to do with the Microsoft Authenticator app. However, you may temporarily fix via open the Activity Monitor (you can search for it with spotlight). In the Activity Monitor, search for "Sharepoint". There's only one process that will show. Click on it and then click the X in the top bar to stop the process. The pop-up will no longer bother you.

Also, we would like you to check whether the issue is related to your user profile. In this situation, we suggest you creating a new user profile on Mac on your Mac and see if any improvement. It is worth trying because it will help you narrow down whether the issue is caused by a specific corrupted user profile.
