Horizontal scroll bar

Question

I use OneNote for Windows 10. Although the page container does not span a width to grant a horizontal scroll bar, a horizontal scroll bar still appears and the page container (and its content of course) is movable horizontally. This of course does not make any sense since there is nothing to scroll to the right to see because the page container is already in full view and does not extend to the right. The same thing does not happen in OneNote Office 365 that I also have. Is there a solution to this?

Don't waste your time with that "problem" or feedback.

The devlopment of OneNote for Windows 10 has been stopped. It's a dead horse 😋

Then it is strange that a Microsoft agent here suggests to provide feedback. I am not surprised. Microsoft has always been extremely bad in handling complaints. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-is-happening-to-onenote-for-windows-10-2b453bfe-66bc-4ab2-9118-01e7eb54d2d6 confirms what you suggest. It says the support will end in 2025. OneNote for Windows and OneNote in Microsoft 365 are two different versions, so they have different UI.

Based on my testing, OneNote for Windows 10 is currently unable to remove the horizontal scrollbar via settings. Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, the development team will review regularly, and every user's feedback may be noticed. Please share the feedback link after submitting, I will vote for you. You can also share with your friends and family members, more votes will make the development team notice more quickly.

So, as an alternative, I recommend that you can use OneNote in Microsoft 365.
