Esc key does not work in excel

Hello all,

The escape key does not work on excel.

I have already checked with other keyboard and with other apps and it is working.

The problem appears in the cell in which a function is contained.

Could you please help me?

I'm unsure if this applies to you, but it started working for me again when I disabled Grammarly in Excel. Grammarly is an app that helps me write better and faster. If you also use it, try this. It's a shame because I've been using Desktop Grammarly (not an Excel add-in) for years and never had this problem. It came out of nowhere. Yesterday, April 18, 2023, I almost threw my computer out the window. This sudden issue messed me up. I hope this helps, and good luck.

Similar issue found for different user. It could be issue from Microsoft side.

I would like to suggest you contact your admin or IT department to raise a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. That support team there will have the correct channel and find what exactly the reason has caused this situation.

Grammarly released a new version with this bug fixed.

Just update to the latest version.

    Yes Grammarly does seem to interfere! I disabled it and Esc key worked!

    Thank you so much. I unsuccessfully tried almost everything before seeing your comment and then trying to disable Grammarly in Excel, and it finally worked!!
