OneNote syncing issues on iPhone

Hello,

My Sticky Notes in the OneNote app on iPhone have not been syncing for days and I can't figure out why. What can I do to fix? I was going to sign out/sign back in but got a message saying "Are you sure you want to remove your account?" and that worried me because I don't want to lose everything in my Sticky Notes.

Please advise - thanks!

Jason

    Hi Abdal,

I have deleted the OneNote app, signed out and back in, and my sticky notes do not appear at all on my iOS app despite showing on desktop when I go to outlook.live.com. How could this be? I keep getting the prompt "Tap here to enter your password" on the iOS app and every time I tap it nothing happens. Are you aware of a widespread issue with the OneNote app on iOS?

To backup your notes on the iOS app, you can use iCloud or iTunes to back up your device. To use iCloud, go to Settings > iCloud > Backup and turn on iCloud Backup. To use iTunes, connect your device to your computer, open iTunes, and click on the device icon. Then, click on "Back Up Now."

To clear the cache and data on the iOS app, you can go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and find the app. Tap on the app and select "Delete App" to remove it. Then re-install the app. This will clear the cache and data for that app.

    Regards,

    Abdal

    Hello

I am Abdal and I would be glad to help you with your question.

There are a few things you can try to fix the syncing issue with your Sticky Notes in the OneNote app on your iPhone:

Make sure you're signed in to the same Microsoft account on your iPhone and on the web.

Check to see if there are any updates available for the OneNote app and update it if necessary.

Close and re-open the OneNote app.

Clear the cache and data of the app.

Try to sign out and sign back in with your account, but you can also check if there is any option to re-sync your account before signing out.

You should not lose your notes by signing out and signing in again, but if you are worried about it, you can backup your notes before signing out.
