Cursor Jumping

I will be typing in Microsoft Word 365 online and the cursor will jump to the beginning of the paragraph and be unable to go to the end of the sentence where I was typing. I have to move the cursor up a ways then come back down to get back to where I was writing. Other times I will type but the words will suddenly disappear as if I hadn't written anything, undo or redo not working or verifying something was written despite having written most of a sentence or two before disappearing. Sometimes I'll be writing and even though my cursor is at the end, it will jump to the beginning of the paragraph to type it and refuse to let me type at the end of the sentence for a while. It is frustrating.

Forgive me, but I don't think touchpad sensitivity explains randomly disappearing sentences that word pretends was never typed, inability to click on the end of a sentence and resetting at the beginning of paragraph and having to wait for Word to suddenly start working for me to continue writing the paragraph. And at times my disappeared sentence reappearing a few sentences later.

    Hi Antoinette P!

I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with cursor jumping in Word app.

    * The issue may be due to the touchpad sensitivity. You can reduce or disable the sensitivity of the touchpad from the Windows Start Menu> Go to control panel-> search and click mouse -> mouse properties. If the issue still persists, check with an external keyboard.

Follow Girish's suggestion from this link: https://answers.microsoft.com/thread/4aaa8443-1435-4973-b6b2-10d78a1fea22

    * if the issue persists, you can try Online repairing the Office: Please check here:https://support.microsoft.com/office/7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b
