Thank you Gunasekar, the Trusted Locations solution solved the problem. The unblock option is not available in Office 2019.

Wish I'd asked you a lot earlier!

    Hello SandiReed25,

I’m Gunasekar and I will be happy to help you with your question, I am a Microsoft consumer like you.

If you've arrived at this article because you got an error message that excel can't read a file or that the workboot cannot be opened, it's likely that Microsoft 365 has blocked the file for security reasons. You can unblock the file so it can be opened:

    1. Here are the guidelines below to unlock your file.

    1. If you are still having issues, add a trusted location in Microsoft Office is a folder that contains files you trust to be safe.

    a. In your Office app, click File > Options.

    b. Click Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations.

    c. Click Add new location.

    d. Click Browse to find the folder, select a folder, and then click OK.

Re-open the document and check if it helps.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be glad to assist you further.

    Best regards,

    Gunasekar N
