Retrieve a Microsoft Form created by an account that has been deleted for more than 30 days

Hi all,

We were working on a Microsoft Forms which was created by a former employer whose account has been deleted and now we receive a message that 'This form doesn't exist'. Unfortunately, more than 30 days have passed from the time that the account was deleted and now we cannot access the form through the https://forms.office.com/Pages/delegatepage.asp...[email address] in order to change the ownership. It gives the message: 'We can't access this page. Make sure you've entered the email address correctly and the forms owner account wasn't deleted more than 30 days ago. Then, try again'.

Given that the form was open and some important data were already collected, I would like to ask you if anything can be done in order to restore it, even now that the 30-day time period has passed.

Thank you a lot!

Anna Maria

    Dear Anna Maria Koniari,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Per the description, I would like to summarize your concern i.e., you want to restore a form which a created in an user account and the user account is deleted for more than 30 days.

If my understanding is correct, I would like to let you know that once the user is deleted from the organization, the user will be deleted permanently from the organization after 30 days and all data related to his account (apart from SharePoint Online and user OneDrive data of the retention set more than 30 days) will be deleted permanently and can't be restored.

In this situation, we are sorry to convey that the data from Microsoft Forms can't be retrieved if the user is deleted permanently.

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Mia | Microsoft Community Moderator
