In recent years we have been using a third party MFA solution with our Microsoft Tenant due to its features and ease of use and we have been pleased with this solution.
However we may now need to use Microsoft Authenticator since we will be requiring users to install it. What I am hesitant about is compared to the third party solution, it just seems clunky, behind the curb in innovation, etc.
So to start, is there a way to report on how many users have the app setup, what os platform they are using and OS version? I have seen people suggest using the sign in logs but this is not very good.
And when it comes to registering new devices with MFA, i.e. when someone changes phones, what is the best way to do this? With our third party, we can just send them a link via email or SMS and all the user has to do is open the link on their device and it registers their account to the app. From what I have seen it doesn't look very straightforward.
I'm sure more I'll have more notes on the app and suggestions for improvements but happy to start with these two
. thanks
