Hi,

I was trying to create a date column whose logic is to add 7 days to today's date and default to. What formula to use to achieve the same. I tried to use TODAY and NOW and see error message "A formula has a syntax error". Please advise.

    Dear Naga,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

As per the description shared, I would like to confirm your requirement i.e., you want to create a new Calculated column where it should display the 7 days prior to the today’s date. If yes, I have tested at my SharePoint Online list, where it worked without any issue:

Formula used and Output are shown below.(at the bottom of my reply)

However, I believe there should be some misunderstanding in your requirement, if yes, we apologize and request you to share the more detailed information about your requirement with some screenshots and formula used for better understanding and guiding you in the right direction.

Moreover, if you are using the “,” in the Calculated column and getting the syntax error, please try to use “;” instead of “,” and check the result.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Have a good day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
