Queries within a Query not refreshing

Question

I created a report (contractall database) that shows certain information from the most recent construction letting; which is then connected to a mail merge in Word so we can send out contracts. Within this report, there are 2 other queries (low-bidder query and Refvendors) that whittle down to the lowest bidders and show pertinent information about said bidders. The 2 queries in question, low bidder and refvendors, have to be refreshed outside of the contractall database. Any ideas on why they are not refreshing within the main report?

P.S. apologies if my explanation of the problem is confusing, thanks for any help/advice in advance!

1. Check if the queries are set to refresh automatically. To do this, go to the "Queries & Connections" pane, right-click on the query, and select "Properties". Under the "Usage" section, make sure that "Refresh this connection on Refresh All" is checked.

2. Check if there are any errors in the queries. If there are errors, the queries may not refresh. To check for errors, go to the "Queries & Connections" pane, and look for any queries with an error mark.

Thanks for the reply! I checked through everything and it all seems to have the correct refresh settings and I did not get any errors either.

Sometimes PQ is a bit bitchy. Close and re-open Excel, click Data \ Refresh All

Are the queries refreshed?
