MS Form not syncing to Excel in Sharepoint.

I created a MS Form and linked it to a workbook. However, when I tried to move the excel workbook to my company's sharepoint, it is no longer updating. I need to be able to have the excel file on the sharepoint. Any time I try to link the MS form to a new excel workbook it saves it on my one drive, and when I go to move it to the company's Sharepoint it loses the sync and no longer updates. How do I fix this?

    Dear ROBERT J. SLOTVIG,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I'd like to help you, please let us cooperate, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

Per your description, it seems that you want to sync Microsoft Forms linked Excel workbook to SharePoint, you need to be able to have it on SharePoint.

May I know if my understanding of the scenario is consistent with yours?

If yes, you may try to directly create a Microsoft Form in a SharePoint library, click New > choose Forms for Excel, it will open a blank form where you can create questions.

And there is a linked Excel workbook stored in the library, when you open it, you can check forms responses from the Form tab, as shown below, it will automatically get forms responses.

By the way, you can find your forms from Forms home page Microsoft Forms | Microsoft 365

If my understanding of the scenario is not consistent with yours, feel free to point it out, I will continue helping you.

Thanks for your time and cooperation! Hope you have a nice day, stay safe and healthy always.

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator

Is there no way to link it to sharepoint after the form has already been made? I want to avoid having to remake the form.

    Dear ROBERT J. SLOTVIG,

Thank you for posting back. I understand your concern, you don't want to recreate the form, you want to sync the Excel workbook from OneDrive to SharePoint and keep responses updated.

Generally, for Microsoft Forms which is created in Excel for the web and OneDrive, the related Excel workbook will be stored in OneDrive for work or school. As far as I know, I'm afraid there is no built-in way to link the workbook from OneDrive to SharePoint and keep it updated. I deeply understand the inconvenience and apologize for it.

Per my searching, Power Automate flow may help to link an Excel workbook from OneDrive to SharePoint. If you are willing to know more about Power Automate solutions, I sincerely recommend you post a new question in the dedicated channel Microsoft Power Automate Community where members and engineers are more knowledgeable on creating customized flows in OneDrive/SharePoint, they will focus on your specific scenario and provide suggestions for you.

Appreciate for your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation!

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator
