One Drive not syncing with second computer

I saved some pdf files on my personal laptop OneDrive (File Explorer). When I tried to locate these files on my work computer through File Explorer the folders were there with other documents but the pdf files were not there. I checked the OneDrive website and the pdf files were there. I had to e-mail the files to myself, which I thought OneDrive is supposed to spare me from having to do.

I'm not comfortable resetting the OneDrive. I'll just try to work around it when I need to do so. I've had major problems with OneDrive horribly syncing my work and personal desktops, which I did not want and it to took too much time to resolve. I don't want to let that genie out of the bottle again.
