Data Visualizer features with Visio professional 2021

I have purchased standalone licensed copy of visio Professional 2021 but I do not see Data visualizer template even if this is professional version. is it not included even in professional version ?

    As Ravikumar mentioned above, Data Visualizer is only available in Visio Plan 2, the subscription version of Visio.

    In contrast, the perpetual license versions, i.e., the non-subscription versions, of Visio do not include Data Visualizer. This is true despite the fact that all versions of Visio starting with Visio 2016 use version numbers beginning with 16.xx. This is a marketing limitation imposed by Microsoft, presumably to nudge people toward buying a monthly subscription.

    Hi Ravikumar,

    I have installed the app Visio Professional 2021 version 2304 Build 16.0.16327.20262 which I think falls under Visio Plan 2. However, I can't see the Data visualizer templates... Am I missing somehting?

    I understand your concern as the Data visualizer template is missing in the Visio version.

    The ability to use the Data Visualizer templates is only available with Visio Plan 2. If you're not sure what version of Visio you're using, select File > Account > About Visio.

    Kindly verify Professional 2021 falls under which plan in below link.

    To enable Data Visualizer commands in Visio, please try below options,

    On previous Visio builds, the Create, Refresh, and Export commands are available in the Create from Data group on the Data tab in the ribbon.

    On Visio builds 16.0.9029.2040 or later, the Refresh Diagram, Update Source Data, and Export commands are available in the Data Tools Design ribbon tab.
