Wow? Who knew? (I certainly didn't!) Thanks H for your quick response.

I have an Excel table with the first column being a list of the 12 months, the second and third columns show the amounts of Expense 1 and Expense 2, respectively, for each month. The amounts for Expense 1 vary, i.e., higher and/or lower depending on the month's activity. The amounts for Expense 2 are always higher for each month, i.e., lowest in Jan and increasing every month. (The Expense 2 amounts are not cumulative).
When I create a line chart the Expense 2 line does not go up along the x-axis but follows the fluctuations of Expense 1 and, of course, the amounts indicated for Expense 2 are incorrect. (If I plot only the Expense 2 data in a chart the line goes up as it should and the correct amounts are indicated).
Why does the happen? --and-- What can I do to get a correct chart?
