Hi,

my private win10 PC got yesterday it's last update. I only recognized because fan was blowing at full speed.

Today onedrive is failing to start and you cannot click away the error message. I can only stop onedrive via task manager. Mentioned file cannot be removed from dir because blocked by TrustedINstaller. How to solve this issue?

Hi Mia, I finally found a solution. above symptoms were irrelevant to any office installation (also wifi was blocked). As the title suggests, the last update went wrong and ended in a mixture of old (10941) and new (10945) files in windows installation.

After searching around of curious event manager logs, I found the following solution which helped. (everything fine now).

here ae the instructions:

    Dear Henselmann Weiss,

Good day!! Thanks for posting your concern in this Microsoft Community.

Per the description shared, I would like to summarize your concern i.e., after the Windows 10 update OneDrive sync client on your device is failing to start.

If my understanding is correct, I would like to confirm whether you have tried resetting the OneDrive sync client on your Windows. If not, please reset and check the outcome. Reference: Reset OneDrive - Microsoft Support

If the same problem persists, please uninstall the OneDrive sync client and re-install the latest production version from release notes.

Uninstall: Turn off, disable, or uninstall OneDrive - Microsoft Support

Install: OneDrive release notes - Microsoft Support

Thanks for your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,

    Mia | Microsoft Moderator
