I'm working in a workbook and everytime I add new data to the workbook or open it I find there is an additional Normal style that has been added as Normal2, Normal3, etcetera. It also changes fields that have another custom style applied. Why is this happening?

    Dear Kate,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your concern and I have tested the behavior in the latest version of Excel app on the semi-annual channel by pasting the data from the different sources into the saved Excel workbook, where it didn’t add any additional Normal style with the Normal1 and Normal 2 etc.

In this situation, I would like to confirm the few scenarios which will help us to better understand and guide you in the right direction:

    1. Does the problem happens with specific Excel workbook or all Excel workbooks?
    2. Does the problem happens with the workbooks that are created from the specific Excel template?
    3. Are you pasting the data into the Excel workbook from a specific source or having the issue with any source?
    4. If problem happens with specific Excel workbook, can you please share the sample Excel workbook with us by removing the personal information? You can upload to the OneDrive and share the link with us.
    5. At last, can you please share the Excel app Account page? Open the Excel app> Account> Take a screenshot and share with us. Note: Please make your personal information before you share any content.

Sorry for not sharing any suggestion but answers to the above queries will give us brief understanding on your concern since we are not able to reproduce the same problem.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Have a good day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
