Why can't I dismiss sync errors in a SharePoint list?

I'm having an issue where sync errors appeared in our SharePoint list (in browser) a few days ago. No matter how many times I hit "Dismiss All" on the sync page, the errors never go away permanently. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

    Hello,

I have resolved the issue. For the benefit of others here are are answers to your questions:

    1. Deleting the cache alone did not resolve the issue
    2. The issue did not show up in Microsoft Lists
    3. The issue was isolated to my user account on this computer. I did not see this issue when logged into a different machine.
    4. The problem was isolated to this list only.

To solve the issue, I removed the cache you spoke of in your reply, cleared my browser cache, and finally restarted the machine.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, before providing suggestions, I would like to collect more information about the situation.

    1. Could you please provide a full screenshot of the situation? You can click the "Insert Image" to upload screenshots.

    1. I wonder on what platform the problem happens, in Microsoft Lists, or in SharePoint (in the browser)?

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

I have added the information to the original post but adding here as well. This is a SharePoint issue (in browser). Dismissing these errors appears to make them go away but upon going to the list they are still listed as an issue and show up again on the sync issues page. As far as I am aware, we do not sync this list anywhere.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for posting back.

Based on my search, please go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Caches (remember to edit the username part), do you see a file with the corresponding GUID for each list?

If the problem still happens, I would like to collect more information to troubleshoot.

    1. Since we can also view/edit the list in Microsoft Lists, what if you edit the list in Microsoft Lists (go to www.office.com, select the Lists icon in the left sidebar), does the problem still happen?

    1. Does the problem also happen to your colleagues?
    2. Does the problem happen in a specific list or also happen in other lists?

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

Here is what I found...I thought I could not discard them either. But, the Sync Issue list was only showing me 50 at a time and the descriptions are all the same. I was actually discarding them, but I had more than 50. When the page reloaded it would just show the next batch. You can confirm by saving the items, then discarding a batch, and then saving the next set of items that you see. When I compared the files they showed different rows. In the end, I just kept discarding until I hit the end of that invisible list. Now my list shows me a green check sync status.

PS - I also did all of the steps above with no positive results.
