Pagination Saving issue

So, whenever I open a saved document, or download a new one, I find all pagination and track changes have gone, and there's a massive white margin on the right hand side of the page. If I click insert page numbers, everything rectifies.

I thought this was down to my Word being out of date, so updated to 365 today, and still the same problem persists.

Any ideas?

Make sure that the document is displayed in Print Layout view. You can click the icon for that view on the status bar in Word (see the screen shot below).

    Hello

I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.

I understand that you're having trouble with pagination and track changes disappearing in Word 365. This can be a frustrating issue, especially when it affects your workflow. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check your Track Changes settings: On the Review tab of the Ribbon, in the Tracking group, click the bottom of the Track Changes split button and choose Change Tracking Options. In the Track Changes Options dialog, under Balloons, set the display to "Never" or "Only for comments/formatting," as you prefer.
    2. Check your document's format: Make sure your document is saved in a format that supports Track Changes, such as .docx¹. Some formats, like .odf, might not support all Word features.
    3. Try a different document: If possible, try opening a different document to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the issue is with Word itself or with a specific document.

    I hope this helps.
