Hey folks - I seem to be unable to create workbooks online (regardless of what way I go about trying to make one).

Initially, I thought the problem was that I didn't have a current subscription, so I've signed up for a personal plan, but I'm still receiving an error.

Note I have also attempted to create a workbook by uploading a file I have stored locally but I get an error this way as well.

The console is showing me a 403 in case that helps.

If my understanding is correct, first, I would like to ask the user to access the Office 365 Business account in the InPrivate/Incognito browser and see whether the user can access the OneDrive and create an Office file.

Second, please also check from the user end whether the user email address for the personal and business is having same UPN (email address). If yes, you need to change the alias of the personal account, and here is the reference article: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/user-unable-to-create-online-excel-workbook/9244b49f-c28b-4778-a60b-90405d8fbb27

Hey Ive already tried in a brand new browser and still no dice.

It's a personal account and there shouldn't be anything else related to it that I'm aware of

    Try this few steps

    1. Permissions and Account Verification, Double-check that your Microsoft 365 account has the necessary permissions to create and edit workbooks. Also, verify your account to ensure there are no issues with the subscription activation.
    2. Clear Browser Cache Sometimes, cached data in your browser can cause issues. Try clearing your browser cache and attempting to create a workbook again.
    3. Disable Browser Extensions, Some browser extensions may interfere with Microsoft 365 applications. Try disabling extensions one by one to identify if any are causing the problem.
    4. Check Microsoft 365 Service Status, Visit the Microsoft 365 Service Status page to check if there are any ongoing issues or outages that might be affecting the creation of workbooks.
    5. File Format Compatibility Ensure that the file you are trying to upload is in a compatible format. Microsoft Excel Online may have trouble with certain file types or versions.
