delete dependent Object type specifications

Hi,

I am trying to delete a specification type in D365 F&O and received below error:

Specification types cannot be deleted while dependent Object type specifications exist. Delete dependent Object type specifications and try again.

how can I delete the dependent object type in D365 finance and operations.

Could someone provide solution for this.

    Since your issue is related Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. We'd suggest you raise a new thread on Forums and User Groups | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Community which is special channel to handle D365 F&O issue.

    To delete a specification type in D365 F&O, you need to first delete any dependent object type specifications. Here are the steps to do so:

    1. Go to the "Product information management" module and select "Product configuration models".
    2. Select the configuration model that contains the dependent object type specification you want to delete.
    3. Click on the "Configure" button to open the configuration model.
    4. Navigate to the dependent object type specification you want to delete and select it.
    5. Click on the "Delete" button to delete the dependent object type specification.
    6. Repeat steps 4-5 for any other dependent object type specifications that need to be deleted.
    7. Once all dependent object type specifications have been deleted, you can go back to the "Specification types" form and delete the specification type.

    Note: Be sure to double-check that the dependent object type specifications you are deleting are no longer needed before proceeding with the deletion.
