Microsoft Lists | Copying and Pasting tasks

Hi Microsoft Community,

For some reason, the copy-and-paste feature doesn't work on Microsoft Lists. In "Edit grid view" mode, I can drag down a row to completely replace the next row, but it doesn't just copy and paste.

When I try to copy and paste in "Edit Grid View" view, I see the following error message. All columns have the required fields, so not sure why I see this error message.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot further or what the issue might be?

All help is appreciated!

Best,

Grace

    Symptoms

When you attempt to copy nonadjacent cell or range selections, you may receive the following error message:

That command cannot be used on multiple selections.

    Cause

These error messages may occur when your cell or range selections are in different columns or different rows. You can, however, copy and paste nonadjacent ranges without getting an error message if your selection contains any of the following:

    · Multiple rows within the same column, for example, A1, A3, A5.

    · Multiple columns within the same row, for example, A2, C2, E2.

    Have a nice day!

    Best regards,
