Can those figures in the comment section be added and the sum placed in the box that these comment are on?

I would like the sum of the numbers in the comments to be shown in the cell that the comments are attached to. Im not experienced enough to create a data entry form. so im keeping track of our purchases in a comment thread. and manually adding them for the cell total.

If I understand, you want to sum the numbers in a comment and place that sum back into the comment. Just to be clear, are these the old Comments (now called Notes) or the newer comments?
It can be done for the old Comments but it requires VBA, but I haven't tried it with the new Comments so I can't address those.
