Can I suggest only specific time slots in MS Bookings?

I want to use Microsoft Bookings to schedule meetings with customers.

For that, I would like to suggest them specific time slots on a specific date.

Is this possible in Microsoft Bookings? If yes, how ?

I only see the option to define that they can book every slot which is free in my calendar or pre-define some recurring time slots per week,

but I would really need to set some date-specific time slots for that, as I also have to align the meeting slots with other colleagues/stakeholders.

Thanks & Best

Daniela

    Hi Libeamlak,

thanks a lot for the fast support.

My problem is, that I have to define that for the whole period for "recurring weeks".

Image I want to schedule sessions over a period of 3 weeks,

but in week 1, I want to have different slots on Monday then in week 2 and 3.

Would it be possible to do that as well?

    Thanks & Best

    Daniela

    Dear DanielaQB,

Many thanks for your kind response,

Based on your response, I understand that you want to set a weekly recurring meeting schedule in Microsoft Bookings with different time slot for each week. I do understand your query here, but the feature you are inquiring doesn't seem feasible in Microsoft Bookings at this moment. As a workaround, you can use "Set Different availability for date range" option for each week and set the specific time slot separately.

For your second question, Microsoft Bookings always access and use the staff primary calendar for Booking and check availability.

However, thank you for bringing this to our attention and forum, your concerns are very meaningful and reasonable. So, I will surely raise your concerns to our Product Development Team and hopefully this can be included in the future updates. In the meantime, we sincerely recommend you post your concern as an idea to our Microsoft Bookings feedback site via Bookings · Community (microsoft.com) our Product Development Team are committed to enhancing the customer experience by continually examining suggestions to include in the design and development of future product upgrades based on your suggestions. Hopefully your suggestion will help many users in the future.

I look forward to your update. Please feel free to let me if you have any questions or if I've got you wrong.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,

    Libeamlak | Microsoft Community Moderator

And: additionally to that, I was also wondering if it's also possible to e.g. use slots of shared outlook calendar (e.g. a "customer bookings calendar") I share with colleagues and in which entered possible slots, and to use that as base for setting up the booking calendar in bookings?

    Dear DanielaQB,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

In order to understand your query and provide possible solution, May I please double confirm if you want to create a service for specific date and specific time? if so, May I please confirm if you tried to create a service with "Set Different availability for a date range" option? if not, kindly follow the steps below and check if there is any difference. To do this, Sign in to your Microsoft Bookings -->Services -->Add new service -->Add your basic Details --> Availability option, under General availability, Select Not Bookable -->Click on "Set Different availability for date range" -->Select start and end date -->Select Custom Hour to specify the date and time as your time requirement. You can refer to the Example screenshot below.

Let's say you want to schedule meeting with customer on 19-Nov-2023 from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Therefore, set the general availability as not bookable and select start and end date as 19-11-2023. Then, select custom hour option to set specific time. check the exact date and adjust your time. If you want to schedule for other additional day, may be for 21-11-2023, Select "Set different availability for date range" and set 21 as start and end date and follow the same step.

    .

The test result for the above schedule is as below:

    .

If you are referring for different scenario, could you please clarify? I will test from my side and provide you with possible solutions.

I look forward to your update. Please feel free to let me know how it goes or if I got you wrong. If you still have any concerns, please let me know so I can provide more suggestions.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,
