Word 365 developer combo box

Hi,

I'm wanting to use the combo box in Word 365. However, there is a character limit. Is there a way to increase the character limit?

    I am using control controls. I'd be greatful if you could explain any actions/processes in a simple language. This is not my forte.

    With Word controls, the limit is the limit.

    It's possible to use VBA to link a dropdown or combobox with a text field, so that choosing an item in the first control will enter long text in the text field. To give you more information, you would have to tell us whether you're using Content Controls, ActiveX controls, Legacy Formfield controls or VBA userform controls.
