Server 2019. Konica Minolta Bizhub mfp.

Trying to scan to a 2019 file server but getting an unable to connect to server message.

Similar issue as the person in this forum but they didn't get an answer.

I had the same problem when setting up a 2012 R2 file server but it started working one day for unknown reasons.

The 2012 R2 server is being replaced with a 2019 server and have run into the same problem. Both server shared folders have the same permissions, file path. When changing the server IP only in the settings on the MFP and doing a test connection, it fails on the 2019 server.

SMB 1-3 enabled on the MFP.

I have HP MFP and can SMB just fine using the same settings.

Are there any special settings to make sure SMB 2 or 3 are enabled in 2019? SMB 1 feature not installed/enabled in server manager.

I'd check with the manufacturer to see if they support the environment.

    Hi @Susan Dodds ,

You see, I recommend that you contact the manufacturer first, to find out if you need to perform any specific configuration on their part, because sometimes the error that occurs when using third-party services is due to a pending configuration or poorly executed.

If the answer was helpful, please don't forget to vote positively or accept as an answer, thank you.

    Yours sincerely,

    Thanks for the replies.

I wasn't on site before but now I am.

The web interface says the connection test fails but when actually scanning from the MFP itself, it completes the SMB scan without any errors.
