Sharepoint completely disconnected from computer

All of a sudden, Sharepoint has completely disconnected from my computer. I literally have no option to sync. When I try, I get a note that I'm already syncing a shortcut to a folder from this shared library. Which means.... nothing. I'm not a tech person. I'm just an accountant who was stupid enough to move my firm from Dropbox (annoying but user friendly) to Sharepoint (perhaps more secure but breaks down all the time and can't be fixed without expensive professional help).

When I tried to look at One Drive, I saw that it had somehow expanded to include every. single. folder in my computer, including my personal Dropbox folders.

Please would someone tell me, in really simple, non-tech terms, how to fix this?

    Dear Gila,

Please check whether you encounter the error message like “You’re already syncing a shortcut from this library”. If yes, the possible root cause may be that you add a shortcut of the folder from other sources like the SharePoint Online site library by clicking on Add shortcut to OneDrive. If you sync the folders from the original source again, the error message may pop up.

    .

If yes, you may go to the OneDrive for Business site (https://contoso-my.sharepoint.com/personal/username\_contoso\_onmicrosoft\_com) and check whether there are some shortcut. If yes, remove it and reset OneDrive via the steps in Reset OneDrive - Microsoft Support and then sync the folders from the site library to see the result.

Thanks for your effort and time.

    Sincerely
