AG DB w/ SSRS

Our company is needing to install MSSQL and SSRS to support a 3rd-party reporting application which leverages these tools. The installation instructions assume a single DB configuration, but as a business practice we replicate all our DBs tp support patching and DR. I've set up plenty of DBs with HA AG, and a long time back I did some SSRS installations, but it's been awhile, and never in an HA configuration. Can someone clue me in on how this topology might work? Do we put SSRS on both servers in AG, or does SSRS need to be installed on a 3rd server which then leverages the listener name for connection. I've ready over this doc, but it doesn't seem to address my questions, though it does indicate that there are limitations on how SSRS can work with HA MSSQL.

    Hi @Alex Thompson ,

Do we put SSRS on both servers in AG, or does SSRS need to be installed on a 3rd server which then leverages the listener name for connection.

No,you don't need do that. When you mainly add a database to SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, check "Full".
For more information, please refer to: SQL Server Always On Availability Groups for Reporting services database.
Step-By-Step: Creating a SQL Server Always On Availability Group
Your issue is more database-related. I suggest that you choose to add "sql-server-general" to questions in this area, and more professional people will answer for you.
    Best Regards,
