    Hi @Manuel Ripoll ,

Good day and Welcome to Q&A.

    For your questions:

Is it mandatory that a SIP phone is certified with MS Teams to use the service?

Yes if you want to use the high-quality audio calls and meetings experience provided by Microsoft.

    The benefits are listed below:

    • Native Teams experience with hardware button integration and LED notifications
    • Calendar integration and one-touch meeting join
    • Deployed and managed via Teams Admin Center with Intune integratio

Can a Yealink SIP T31G or T46U phone use MS Teams? What functionalities would it have and which ones would it not?

Based on the support list, no. The crtified SIP phones have the above benefits which means you could experience Teams functions on them and more importantly, a better meetings experience. For more features, see Features supported by Teams phones. And you could use it to join a meeting calling the meeting number(audio only).

    Best regards,
    Lou
