Multiple Accounts One Machine

Hello,

I used my personal laptop while working at a school district. I no longer work there, but the account keeps showing up on my windows and outlook and authenticator. I also have accounts showing up from prior school districts I worked for.

I pay for 365 on a personal account now, but there seems to be interference from these past accounts. For example, I sometimes get a message that I can't do xyz and to contact my administrator for support. I have no adminstrator.

What is the best way to eliminate all accounts but the one I am using for personal, and paying for? I want to remove them from my desktop and phone, from Windows, from all 365 products, from the Authenticator app, and I want to never have them pop up and bother me again. :D

Could you provide some guidance on this?

Thank you!

R

Hey there, my name is Ajibola and I'm excited to help you out today!

Kindy try To remove Microsoft cached credentials through the control panel, you can follow these steps:

    • Open the Control Panel by clicking on the Start menu and typing "control panel" in the search box. Then click on the Control Panel app that appears.

    • In the Control Panel window, locate the "User Accounts" or "User Accounts and Family Safety" category. The exact name might vary depending on your Windows version.

    • Click on the "Credential Manager" option. This will open a new window that shows your saved credentials.

    • Select "Web Credentials" or "Windows Credentials" to access the credentials you want to remove. You will see a list of websites, applications, or networks that have stored credentials on your computer.

    • Click on the down arrow next to each credential to expand it and see more details. You will see the username and password for each credential, as well as an option to edit or remove it.

    • Click on the "Remove" link next to each credential you want to delete. You will be asked to confirm your action. Click on "Yes" to remove the credential from your computer.

    • Repeat this process for any other credentials that you want to remove from either the Web Credentials or Windows Credentials section.
