I'm trying to use Get Data (Power Query) to load data from a CSV file, start from cell A2. But excel keeps automatically load to cell A1.

Anyone knows how to fix that?

Cheers.

Hi

I believe this is the dialog (from Windows Excel) that you are referring to. Am I correct?

This dialog was removed from Excel for Mac in favor of new dialogs that direct your activity.

The closest thing to the above dialog is this one you get when you use the Menu Bar and choose Data > Summarize with Pivotable. This offers the same functionality for placing data on an existing or new worksheet as the Windows dialog, but adds the ability to choose an external data source that is not offered in the Windows dialog. This dialog allows you to specify a specific destination for the data imported from the data source.

Thank you for your reply. The problem is when using Excel on Window machine, we have the "Close & Load to", but there is not on MacOS Excel. That's what I'm looking for.

Well, Power Query returns the data in a table. Once you've established the connection, all you have to do is click Data\Refresh All to get the new data.

And it does not matter where the table is, the data is loaded into the table.

On the other hand, if you use Power Query to choose the file and click the Load button immediately, the table is created in A1. That's the normal behavior.

    Andreas.

I believe my Excel is at latest version. Seems like it happens to all CSV files.

Is your Excel app is up to date? Does the problem happens on specific CSV file?
