Cannot associate or install Visio subscription with my current Microsoft Account .

I am an individual (not a business and I do not work for a company). I currently have an active "Microsoft 365 Family" subscription and when I log into microsoft account I can see this.

The problem is, I want to purchase Visio subscription option "Visio 1 Plan". when I hit the Purchase button it takes me to a screen and asks for my email address. I type in the email address and it comes back with the message:

"Looks like you need to create a new account. Let's get you started! Continue as <****@gmail.com>** "

This is the same email address as associated with my current subscriptions. If I do press the "setup account" button it has a mandatory field "company" .

Question is, as an individual how do I subscribe to use Visio using my existing Microsoft login?

If I continue to "setup account" what do I put for company and will this be seen as an additional account, amendment to my existing account, or will it overwrite my current account?

THanks.

    Hello MikeDavisonPerth,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I am a Microsoft user just like you, I hope you are doing well?

Sorry for this inconvenience. However, Visio 1 Plan is a business license and therefore cannot be associated with your personal account. You will need to create a business account to subscribe to this license.

Business accounts and personal accounts are different accounts. Your personal account will still remain active after you set up a business account (it is an additional account). You manage your business account from a URL and you can input any information for a company during the sign up.

Please let me know if you need more assistance.
