Hi

I'm currently using Outlook Tasks and want somehow feel forced to To Do by Microsoft's strategy.

But the I read:
"Specifically, Microsoft To Do doesn't currently support the start and end dates, task status, task completion percentage, multiple priority levels, task work hours, task colors, or categories that are available in Outlook Tasks."

When will these features available to To Do?

Dear StefanAu.,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

As per the description you have shared, we understand that you have a concern with To-Do Tasks functionality.

Since you mentioned that, you are currently using Outlook Tasks and forced to open tasks in To Do, may I please confirm if "Open tasks in the To Do app" option is enabled in your Outlook? if you haven't check it yet, please kindly open your Outlook --> Go to File -->Options -->Tasks -->Uncheck Open tasks in the To Do app option -->OK. You can refer to the screenshot below.

For additional information, you can refer to Use To Do app to manage Tasks in Outlook - Microsoft Support

In addition, please kindly Go to File -->Options -->Advanced -->uncheck Show Apps in Outlook -->OK. Then, restart your Outlook and check if there is any difference.

However, Microsoft is continuously working on improving the functionality of Microsoft To-Do, including adding more Task functionalities. I do understand your query here but, I do not have any specific information on when these features will be available. I suggest keeping an eye on the Microsoft To-Do blog or the Microsoft 365 Roadmap for updates on new features and functionality viaMicrosoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365.

Moreover, if you have other queries related to Microsoft To-Do, since Microsoft has specific support channel resource for certain different support scope and attributes, we are belong to Microsoft Forum Community mainly focused on Micrsoft 365 Exchange online only. Therefore, we provide some limited knowledge about some aspects of To-Do related scenarios. For Microsoft To-Do, we have a dedicated team with special expertise in To-Do queries, so would you mind to connect and place your query on our dedicated Microsoft To Do - Microsoft Community Hub? We believe they will give you accurate and efficient solution for your concern.

I look forward to your update. Please feel free to let me know if there are any questions related to Outlook or Exchange Online. I will continue to assist you based on the information you provide. I sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day.

Sincerely

    Hi Libeamlak.

Thanks for the advise. It worked.

The odd thing: I have to switch off To Do on Desktop to use my Desktop Tasks in To Do Web ?!? confused...

    For other readers:
I had an additional task list in Outlook tasks which wasn't synced with To Do,

I had to move them into the list with my account name noted behind it.

    Thanks
