Individual Loop Components

I have a page in MS Loops with multiple Loop Components on it (table, list, etc.) It allows me to select the individual component and and select 'Create Loop Component' however if I create a link for that particular component, which is an option (see below), when the user(s) open the component link they see the entire page? Also what is the difference between the two 'arrowed' items. Both seem to give access to the entire page. This is confusing.

    Hi Mark Uvanni

    Thank you for the reply.

Yes, you're right it supposed to be a different Loop page. I understand if this feature isn't working well on your end because we're still on the process of building it and not yet stable to use and any issues you will encounter, I suggest that you provide feedback so that our engineering team can address it as soon as possible.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely

    Hi Mark Uvanni

    Greetings!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you need help with this concern. We will work together to achieve your desired resolution.

The page link is a way to reference another page within a page, similar to a hyperlink. The Loop component is a way to embed another page within a page, similar to an iframe. The main difference between them is that the page link only shows the title and a preview of the linked page, while the Loop component shows the entire content of the embedded page. The page link is useful for creating an overview or a table of contents, while the Loop component is useful for creating a dashboard or a report.

We look forward to your reply.

    Sincerely

    Juhn Jac

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I'm still confused about: "Loop componentis a way to embed another page within a page, similar to an iframe."

When you say 'embed in another page like an iframe', you're talking about another Loops Page correct? Because it doesn't work anywhere else (it provides a hyperlink like 'page' link does.)

My assumption was that the iframe could be embedded in any MS Software (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)

If you can't embed the Loop Component into another software (MS Word especially) it doesn't make much sense to use it at all. It's just another MS software 'overlap' and these confuse people (IMHO)

    Kind regards,

It does work in Word for the Web (like an iframe) and in Outlook. Progress is being made. It's (Loop) is actually a very useful tool!

May we have a timeframe on when Microsoft expects to have this resolved? I've seen threads back to February 2023 that y'all are working on being able to access, and attach hyperlinks in the new Outlook. This is critical, and in my job I need to be able to do this at least 20 times per month; however, in January we need to do this at least 5 times per day.
