Floating dot after using OneNote

I use a tablet to write in OneNote. I teach Math via this method. Sometimes, a dot will stay on the screen even after I've closed OneNote. It'll just float on the screen regardless of whether I'm in OneNote or not. Meaning that if the dot is large, it will cover the words on my page. I can't remove it. I can't click it. I can't delete it. I can't screenshot it?

It's infuriating! This dot! (Link contains a video of me losing my marbles over this dot)

    Hello

I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with OneNote on your tablet. It seems like a frustrating problem, especially when you're trying to teach.

This issue might be related to a software glitch or a hardware issue with your tablet's touch screen. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you could try:

    1. Restart your device: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix many issues as it clears the device's memory and stops any processes that might be interfering with OneNote.
    2. Update OneNote and your device's software: Make sure that both OneNote and your device's software (like Windows, iOS, or Android) are up-to-date. Updates often include bug fixes that might solve the issue you're experiencing.
    3. Reinstall OneNote: If the issue persists, try uninstalling and then reinstalling OneNote. This can help reset the app's settings and eliminate any glitches.

    I hope this helps
