I am attempting to use the Regression Analysis tool in the Data Analysis Toolpak, using the following x and y variables, I am given wrong answers for all outputs.

x y
2 8
6 20
9 9
13 28
20 24

I am highlighting 8-24 for Y range and 2-20 for the X range.

An example of wrong output; for Standard Error I get 8.727. slope of .667 and intercept of 12.286. When I put those answers into my HW I am marked down for wrong answer. So, I decided to solve by hand to see if I get the same answer and I some how copied and pasted wrong or something. After following the formulas to find Standard Error, slope and intercept I get the right answers for all three. (SE=7.459 , slope=.9, intercept=8.8. The funny thing is I completed all calculations through excel.

Anyways, why is excel giving wrong answers for the this tool and how do I fix it.

Also, I have notice multiple answers being off by similar margins for multiple questions throughout my statistics class, while others are spot on.

OMG I just saw the errors in my way. I had labels marked so Excel was taking out the first row. I have fixed that and excel is in fact, giving the proper answers now.

The problem lied between the keyboard and the chair.

Here are my results using both LINEST and the Regression tool of the ATP.

Here is the Regression setting for the ATP:

Some of my output is not showing on my 1st screenshot above.
