Smooth Ink Not Disabling

I have the setting in the advanced options section disabled for "Smooth ink when drawing with a pen" yet smoothing still occurs. This wouldn't be a big deal, however, the ruled lines move slightly when this smoothening occurs, which is really disorientating. Additionally, the writing next to it moves slightly as well. Any solutions?

Here's an example of the previous writing moving. I drew a square with the hold feature and it did so perfectly, but when dots were added around it, the shape was disfigured.

Hi Guardian, Welcome to the Microsoft Community. I am a Microsoft user just like you, hope you are well.

Please note: This is a user-to-user community forum. We are users just like you who help others. We are not employees of Microsoft.

If you have disabled the "Smooth ink when drawing with a pen" option in the advanced options section of Microsoft Office, but the smoothing still occurs, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

    1. Disable ink smoothing in Windows settings: Go to Windows Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink and turn off the "Show cursor" option. This may help resolve the issue of ink smoothing in Microsoft Office.
    2. Disable ink smoothing in OneNote: If you are experiencing ink smoothing in OneNote, you can try disabling it in OneNote settings. Go to File > Options > Advanced and uncheck the "Disable automatic ink smoothing" option
    3. Update your device drivers: Make sure that your device drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause issues with ink smoothing in Microsoft Office.
    4. Also, try to calibrate your Pen.

    a. Press the Windows logo key

    b. Type Calibrate (use the arrow keys to highlight Calibrate the screen for pen and touch input)

    c. Press Enter

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Best Regards, Umar Majeed
