When trying to refresh data on an Excel doc linked to others in my organization, stored on Sharepoint, I get the dialog box below. I have cycled through all 3 options, logging in using my 365 credentials and the refresh continues to fail.

    Hi Andi,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, to troubleshoot the situation, I would like to collect more information.

    1. Does any error message appear? If so, you can take a full screenshot, and then click "Insert Image" to upload it.
    2. Does the situation happen to a specific workbook or also in other workbooks? You can create new workbooks to test (create two workbooks in OneDrive, then in one workbook, use Power Query to get data from another).

If the situation only happens in a specific workbook, please try to open the workbook in Excel for Web, then try to refresh the connection again. Go to www.office.com, sign into your account, then click the Excel icon in the left sidebar.

    1. Are your colleagues in the same situation?

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    George | Microsoft Community Moderator

    George,

    Thanks for the reply!

Below are the errors I see. This happens with any document that I refresh data on. None of the Excel documents are mine but they are within our work group. I am the only one with this issue for all documents. One other colleague has a similar issue for a specific document but he gets 5 options on the left side of the pop-up which are Anonymous, Windows, Basic, Web API, and Organizational Account. The workaround for that is selecting Organizational and Connect. I had the same options until last week. And now I am left with what you see below.

    Hi Andi,

    Thanks for posting back.

As you mentioned you are the only user with this issue, please check the following points.

    1. I wonder if you have permission to these source files (files contain source data). Please contact the owner of these source files and ask the owner to check your permission in OneDrive for Web. Go to www.office.com, click the OneDrive icon in the left sidebar, click "My files", find and select the workbook, click the three points, Manage Access.
    2. Please try to open the related workbook in Excel for Web (in the browser), click the Data tab and try to refresh the connection, then check again.
    3. If the situation still happens, please switch to another Windows user profile (if you don’t have another Windows user profile, please create a new Windows user profile, then switch to the new user profile), run Excel, and check if the situation still happens or not.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,
