Onedrive storage issue

Yesterday when I looked at my OneDrive storage it indicated I was using 16GB of 5GB allowance which has prevented me from sending or receiving mails. When I look at my OneDrive local app on my desktop it says only only using 0.1 GB. I've also noticed that every 10 minutes of so the storage figure increases by ~5 GB. I've tried de-syncing and unlinking my account but nothing appears to resolve this issue. I've had to subscript to a month free trial which has increased my storage up to 1TB just so my emails can be restored.

Hi - yes when I click this option it takes me to the account where it says i'm now using 45gb (it has grown another 12 gb without me doing anything). Strange thing is it shows me the exact same files I can see offline when its shows 0.6gb used as it does online where it shows 46gb.

Go to the OneDrive cloud icon > Settings > Account tab > Choose folders and select "Make all files available". Choose folders keeps online folders from downloading and syncing to your PC. Therefore, if you uncheck some folders then you will have more files in the cloud than on your PC.

Another more likely possibility is that you are viewing Files On-demand cloud-only files. You may be able to view them on your computer even though they are not taking up space on your computer. So I suggest you right-click your OneDrive folder at C:\Users\username\OneDrive and select "Always keep on this device" to make sure you have local copies of your online files.

Go to the OneDrive cloud icon on the taskbar > View online and see if that takes you to the account that has the 37.2GB/1TB of storage used. If so then your Windows desktop may be linked to the wrong account.

If there is a problem with your accounts you can always Email the OneDrive support team for further assistance.

No mail data file should be located on OneDrive, any such date file must remain on the local PC

The trial is for the complete O365 Family pkge
