One note missing a student

Question

I have a class team set up for my students and it has a one note notebook connected to it. One of my students does not appear in the notebook despite being a member of my team. They can access the notes in the content library but they do not have a tab of their own to copy notes into or where work can be distributed to them. I have tried inviting them to the notebook, with no success. Can you help me with a solution to this?

Thanks for trying the suggestions above, if you still encounter this phenomenon after re-adding this student, it may be a problem on the Teams server side, we kindly recommended you can raise a service request in Microsoft 365 admin center, which the support there has the related permission and resource to help you check from the backend。

Hi Tin,

I have deleted that student and re added them, with no success.

This happens when the students accesses the notebook from both the one note app and also through the team. No other student has the class notebook add-in for this application and theirs work perfectly.

This is happening to only one student within the organisation.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Please try deleting the students and then manually re-adding them.

If you still encounter this phenomenon after trying, please inform us of the following information:

• Does this also happen if you access the ClassNoteBook directly from OneNote? OneNote 2016 requires a ClassNote book add-in download to access this notebook.
• Does this happen only in certain students?
• Has something similar happened to other Teams?
