Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Janice!
I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.
I understand you are looking for a way to retain the Office 365 subscription which expires in November and then add Office 365 personal subscription that comes with a new laptop.
Firstly, you can turn off recurring billing so that you won't be billed in the future. when your subscription expires in November, you need not wait till then here is how to do https://support.microsoft.com/office/c7c0bc32-9744-4acf-9818-815d5c96cc59.
A way out is this since you purchased Office 365 from a 3rd party retailer and you were provided with a license key, then the subscription starts from when you activate that key.
So you can wait, till the other expires (perhaps 2 days before it expires) and you can then go to https://setup.office.com/?ms.officeurl=setup,">https://setup.office.com/?ms.officeurl=setup, sign in with your existing Microsoft account, and enter the product key.
Another option is to activate it now to add it to the current subscription, here is the procedure: First, complete the steps below and then turn recurring billing off. Go to https://setup.office.com/?ms.officeurl=setup to complete the process as described above.
See detail here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/58f3d0f8-15c4-4ad8-8c5f-16d682e8b545
Thus, whatever option you go for, you are not losing anything.
I hope this helps! Please kindly let me know if you need any other assistance and I will be more than happy to help further.
