Hello,

I'm writing on behalf of the advertising agency I work at.

We have the Microsoft 365 package and we have talked about using SharePoint from now on.

Right now we have a server where ALL our files are. We also have SSD hard disks with video files and other heavy files.

So my question is;

Is it possible to somehow move ALL our files, heavy or not, on SharePoint? For example if we have site for each of our customers, and then folders for like brandguides, video files and photo files. And this is including Adobe files like Premiere Pro and Photoshop etc.

I can imagine "copy and pasting" or dragging ALL our files will take a long time and we probably also have to check on storage etc.

What do you guys recommend for us at the agency and how to store all our files in SharePoint?

Thank you!

    Dear Dea O

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on our research to upload files to SharePoint, you may consider below things:

    1. storage.

You can check your total SP storage from SP admin center, Active sites page top right area. Please be noted that no matter how many site collections created, they all share the storage here.

    1. SP limitations

SP has some limitations on files uploaded, such as file uploading size should be less than 250GB, file name shouldn't contain invalid characters, file path length should not exceed 400 characters, etc.
For details of SharePoint limitations, please check the KB before uploading.

    1. How to perform the uploading.

For large data migration, we suggest you using SharePoint migration tool.

If there is any misunderstanding, please feel free to correct me.

    Have a nice day!
