Microsoft Lists Date error

Hi,

I have a Microsoft 365 Family account. I reside in Australia.

The Outlook and Calendar displays the date correctly.

In Microsoft Lists the date is showing the US Day. E.g., it shows the date as tomorrow instead of today.

I have changed the date and time zone options in my Microsoft account, One Drive account but not able to see any settings in the Microsoft Lists.

As it is a Family account, I do not have access to the Sharepoint server.

Has anybody managed to solve this error.

Thanks

Ann

You're welcome, Anita! Regarding this matter, as there isn't an option to adjust the timezone, it would be beneficial if you could reach out to someone who has access to or the administrator of your SharePoint server. They can provide more insight into resolving this problem. If you require additional support in the future, please feel free to share your query in this forum. We're always here to help. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Hi Leo, Thank you for taking the time to respond, I truly appreciate it, thanks once again.

    Your response:

There are two factors that influence the displayed time zone. First, the displayed time zone depends on the selected time zone set by the currently logged-in user for their profile.

My response: My Windows 11 Laptop, Microsoft Account (includes Office 365 Family account - Outlook, Tasks, Calendar, Mail, Office Applications) has the correct time zone. I rechecked these settings and the day/date displays accurately on all the above applications.

    Your response:

Second, it relies on the regional settings of the site collection.

My response: I have the date error appearing only on Microsoft Lists. As I have a Microsoft 365 Family account, I do not see the Sharepoint site, and from my research it looks like the regional setting is in the Sharepoint site.

I was only using Microsoft Lists for my personal use and was hoping that the Microsoft Team would fix this.

Thank you once again for sharing your knowledge.

    Regards

    Ann

    Hi Anita P,

Thank you for reaching out. My name is Leo, a user just like you. I'd be happy to help you with your concern.

It appears that you're experiencing an issue with different displayed dates due to time zone differences. There are two factors that influence the displayed time zone. First, the displayed time zone depends on the selected time zone set by the currently logged-in user for their profile. Second, it relies on the regional settings of the site collection.

Could you also inquire with someone who has access to the SharePoint server for further discussion about this issue? Additionally, you can refer to this article link for more information about how SharePoint displays date-time values in lists.
