Hy all,

Please help me with the following issue:

I have an Excel 2023 file shared with aprox. 20 users.

The issue is that for random users it happens that if they change information in the excel the information is not visible for the rest of the users.

They must restart the Excel file so their changes can be visible for everybody.

Can you help me please with a hint how can I solve this issue ?

I mentioned that the file is shared via share function from excel.

Thank you

    Dear respected PATRICHI Adrian,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I’m sorry you’re having a problem but based on your description we can work together to resolve it.

For the situation you encountered, we deeply understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.

As per your description, it seems that users encountering a synchronization issue when multiple users are working on the same shared Excel file.

Firstly, may I know does issue happened do specific Excel shared document? If the issue happens to all Excel shared function files including a new created one, the issue is more related to the Office app itself or your computer environment.

Instead of sharing the Excel file using the built-in Excel sharing function, if possible, could you please use OneDrive or SharePoint, the Excel file in a shared OneDrive or SharePoint location. These platforms are specifically designed for collaboration and can handle simultaneous editing more effectively.

We appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial suggestions may not resolve the problem very soon. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. So, please kindly provide more information below to let us work further.

    1. What’s your Excel version? Open Excel > File > Account > Production Information and share a screenshot of it.  (Please mask your private information.)
    2. Does the issue happens on all files or a specific one?

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad
