If you don't remember the password no one can help you.

But you can workaround this problem:

Create a new empty section with another name in the same notebook or a Quick Notes section in another notebook, then go to OneNote's settings and change the Quick Notes location to this new section:

I use Microsoft 'One Note for Windows 10. I created a Section 'Ken Notebook and an automatic file named 'Quick Notes' included itself.

I've used One Note for years, and never used this folder. I tried it, and it insists you provide a password. I lost the password. Is there are way to open it?

Your reply is still not that clear.

Do you talk about the Quick Notes section in OneNote ?

BTW: What OneNote do you use ? With or without a File menu ?

I use One Note. I never tried the 'Quick Notes'. I did and then lost the password.

I didn't realize there was no fall back escape.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I'm Tim, an Independent Advisor here and a Microsoft user like you. I don't work for Microsoft and do not have access to any of your data on their system.

Can you confirm which application you’re referring to as you mention Quick Note which is an apple product but have posted in the OneNote section?

    Kind regards

    Tim
