Multiple Task Information doesn't work anymore?

Anonymous

Dear all,

If I select multiple tasks in the Gantt Chart table and open "Multiple Task Information" then no changes will be saved after clicking "OK".

Example: change "Task type: Fixed duration" for a number of tasks at once.

Anyone has the same experience?

Theo

    Theo de Kreijger,

This is a know problem that recently popped up, apparently a negative artifact of a recent update. Please see this link: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/project/bulk-edit-not-working/m-p/3935750 John

    Hello Ravikumar Vadamalai,

That's a very "helpdesky" type of solution. In this case it will not help as everybody in my in training class had the same bug. In the English as well as the other language versions of MSP. I'm sorry that I didn't mention this in my original post.

    Thanks anyway.

    Hello John,

    Thank you very much.

This was the response I was hoping for. Now I'm not the only one with this problem. Let's wait and see whether or not Microsoft fixes this bug with the next update. The link you posted also mentions the (obvious) work-around: use the fill-handle to copy the new information to multiple tasks.

Is this feature stopped working recently? Could you please let us know if you have installed any plugin or ran windows updates recently? If you have applied any filter, pull down the filter menu and select 'clear filter'

If nothing helps, please try below steps to reset Office / Excel.

    1. Close all office apps and sign out of the account
    2. Clear browser cache and cookies
    3. Do a safe reboot. You can start Safe Mode using the F8 key during start up.
    4. Go to temp location and clear all the files. To clear temporary files, Press Windows key + R to open the Run command. Then type “temp” in the search field and press OK.
    5. Try to an online repair. Go to Control Panel /> Under Programs, click Uninstall a Program /> spot Microsoft Office, right-click on it and select Change. Go with Quick Repair or Online Repair accordingly to fix the problem

Now kindly try to access the Multiple task information in Gantt Chart.

Hope this information would be useful to you. Please feel free to get back if you need any additional info.
