The Help Function does not work on Office 365

When I try to access Help on for example Office Word or Excel, the Help window opens, but with the message:

"Sorry, something went wrong. Please check your network connection and try again."

There is no problem with my network connection.

I have the current version of Office 365.

I get the same result whether I use the F1 key or the click on the Help icon.

Please can somebody help?

Many thanks,

Roger

Hello Roger D! I'm Gunasekar and I'd be happy to help you with your question.

I understand that you are having trouble using the Help Function in Office 365 applications. You could try these troubleshooting steps and check the outcome.

Method 1: Enable all the Options in the Privacy settings.

    1. Launch an Office application. (Microsoft Word) and click File.
    2. Go to Options.
    3. Select Trust Center.
    4. Select Privacy Options.
    5. On the right panel select Privacy Settings.
    6. Select all the checkboxes for the topics listed.
    7. Restart Word.

    Method 2: Repair Office applications.

    A. Click Start and select settings. B. Click Apps and features. C. Find Microsoft Office 365 in the lists, and click three dots next to it. D. select Modify. E. Perform an Online repair.

When it is done, Restart your PC.

Method 3: Run the network troubleshooter.

Run Get Help to troubleshoot and fix common connection problems. Right click the network icon in the right side of the taskbar and select Diagnose network problems

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be glad to assist you further.

    Best regards,
